SPIM is about the child. SPIM is about your child. SPIM classes are designed for children with special needs. Many children have needs that require them to pair individually with an instructor. Often times, these classes are held as private lessons, requiring that the child participate at another time. For many children, private lessons are the solution, and are solid teaching practices. However, there also exist those children who would benefit from an inclusion model, and would benefit participating as a group.
Water Wings has a long history of working closely with the In Town community, and this year launches its first Inclusion model program. SPIM classes will offer 1 inclusive teacher who will work with your child as other children his/her age are being instructed.
How does SPIM work?
SPIM will be offered on a first come first serve basis. ONE instructor will be available each half hour to work with a child in the SPIM program. For example, in the schedule below, ONE SPIM instructor will be available at 10:30am to work individually with a child who has registered with the Birdwings class. In addition to having his/her peers with them, the child has his/her own private instructor, while the remainder of the class is working as a group with the regular Birdwings instructor. Two instructors work together to teach all the children in this Inclusive model.

Session #1 - $285.00 ($23.75 per lesson)
Session #2 - $285.00 ($23.75 per lesson)
Non-Members:
Session #1 - $321.00 ($26.75 per lesson)
SPIM Busy Butterfly (add $3.00 per lesson)
Stated rates are based on a 4 time per week participation for 3 consecutive week sessions. For participants registering more than one Water Wings session or a sibling attending a Water Wings class, there is a $10.00/per session discount. For third/subsequent children or a third session, the participant discount is one-half (½) of the full-priced program fee. There is no tuition discount for the first child or private lessons.
